Mercy Health Center Bracket Tournament
On April 3rd, Lambda Chi Alpha presented a check for $630 to Mercy Health Center of Athens. Mercy Health Center is a Christian organization that provides medical care to those that cannot afford it. This money was raised from Lambda Chi's annual March Madness Bracket Tournament. Pictured Left are brothers Parker Steed and Zac Benton handing the check to executive director Tracy Thompson.
IFC Red Cross Blood drive
Support Camp Kesem!
Camp Kesem is a nonprofit student organization that provides a free week of summer camp for kids who's parents have been affected by cancer. On October 12th, Camp Kesem UGA partnered with the local Ben and Jerry's downtown for a fundraiser. The event was known as the "Vermonster Challenge” and thirteen teams competed to see who would devour Ben and Jerry's "Vermonster" sundae the fastest. The massive sundae consisted of 20 scoops of ice-cream, bananas, brownies, cookies, whipped cream and many other toppings. Throughout the night Camp Kesem raised over $500 which was enough to send a child to camp this summer. Good eating boys! Dawgs For Kemp
This Year running for Governor we have a UGA Alumni and Lambda Chi brother Brian Kemp! Pictured above are Brothers who attended the Dawgs For Kemp tailgate in order to spread awareness around campus. The Brothers have already been working on putting up signs and gathering signatures to help Kemp win! (Pictured below) For more information visit Brain Kemps Facebook page via the button below.
Every Year the Lambda Chit brothers participate in the Feeding America can drive, with a goal of 10 cans per brother. This year the brothers met their goal with having raised five hundred pounds of canned food for the Foodbank of Northeast Georgia.
Big Hearts Pageant
On Saturday, February 11, multiple Lambda Chi brothers attended and volunteered to help clean up the Extra Special People Big Hearts Pageant. Extra Special People is a organization dedicated to serving families and children with special needs in the Athens community and surrounding counties. The Big Hearts pageant serves as an opportunity for special needs children to showcase their talents. The fraternity was recognized as a Queen of Hearts Sponsor for its donation.

Recognition Where it is due
The young men of LXA continue to excel in academics. We had a record setting 66 brothers meet or exceed 3.2 GPA! At the February 13 Chapter Meeting, Parents’ Club President Ginnie Baskin and Treasurer Dawn Roberts presented each honor roll student with a Chick-fil-a gift card of varying value based on their GPA.
Annual IFC Philanthropy Golf Tournament
Seniors Andrew Kahn, Eric Peters and Parker Powell as well as Sophomore Andrew Bankston represented Lambda Chi Alpha in the golf tournament finishing in 1st place with a 57.
Many of the active brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha made the trip to Atlanta to cheer on the Dawgs as they beat North Carolina 33-24.

Fowler Drive Elementary Field Trip Donation
The fraternity recently donated $250 to a local Athens elementary school, Fowler Drive Elementary. The donation will send a 5th grade student, Autumn Brooks, on an educational science field trip to St. Simons Island, Georgia, with some of her classmates. 2016 Buddy Dillard Scholarship Winners
The Buddy Dillard Scholarship was set up in honor of the the late Buddy Dillard, who was very actively involved in the fraternity. The scholarship is awarded to up to three current Lambda Chi brothers who have shown a strong dedication to the fraternity, the greater Athens community, and their academics. This year's winners are Ryan Jones and Tyler Giles. Pictured with Ryan Jones and Tyler Giles is Mrs. Dillard.
2016 Lambda Chi March Madness
The Lambda Chi fraternity raised over $600 for our Relay for Life team through entry fees to our annual March Madness charity bracket along with donations. The winner of the bracket received a signed Hank Aaron picture of him hitting his 715th home run.
2016 ESP Big Hearts Pageant

Lambda Chi Alpha's Woodstick
Friday, October 23rd the Lambda Chi brothers packed up and headed to the Sandbar in Bowman Georgia for their premier camping trip. It was an action packed night featuring a fantastic band, Craig Waters and the Flood
2015 Annual Fall Alumni & Parent's Weekend in Athens, Georgia
The Annual Fall Charley Trippi Alumni/ Parents weekend took place on October 16th-17th. Many parents and celebrated Alumni were in attendance for a great weekend that featured Sauce House catered Barbecue and the band Sandy B and the Allstars.
Lambda Chi Alpha's "Starry Night" Semi Formal 2015
Lambda Chi Alpha's "Starry Night" Semi formal took place on October 15th. There were over 100 brothers in attendance for a fun night of eating and dancing. It took place in Magnolias and featured a stellar band called Soul Committee.
Lambda Chi Alpha Mentoring and Networking Program
On September 2nd the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha had a networking opportunity to branch out to all of the Alumni. Many prominent Alumni were in attendance such as Ed Forsberg, who has had lots of success in the banking industry, and Bill McDonald, who is currently the Dean of Students. The JTC mentor program "helps undergraduate brothers make life-directing connections with some of our 180,000 alumni. By bridging the knowledge, leadership and experience of our alumni with the vibrant ideas and ideals of collegians, we can develop strong leaders, build lifelong bonds, and strengthen the legacy of our fraternity for generations to come."
Walk A Mile In Her Shoes: Raising awareness about sexual violence prevention
On August 29th Lambda Chi Alpha took part in "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" which is an Interfraternity Council Equal Opportunity Office sponsored event. The brothers shown literally walked a mile in high heels around campus to help spread awareness to the community. The overall goal of this event is to stop rape, sexual assault, and gender violence.

Lambda Chi Alpha's Centennial Celebration
The weekend of April 24-25th saw what might be the biggest reunion of one chapter of Lambda Chi in history. It included an excellent barbecue on the front lawn followed by a meet and greet at the Holiday Inn. The following day there was a banquet at the Class Center, with over 850 people in attendance, which included many renown speakers.We are very thankful for such a strong and prominent Alumni base, we wouldn't be here today if it weren't for you. All of the brothers at Lambda Chi Alpha really appreciate all of your support and we hope to see all of y'all at more events in the future.

Lambda Chi Alpha's 1st Annual "Watermelon Bust"
On September 14th, 2013, Lambda Chi Alpha held it's first annual philanthropy event known as "Watermelon Bust". Over 10 University of Georgia sororities competed in various games that all included watermelons on the Lambda Chi front lawn. Overall, "Watermelon Bust" alone raised over $2,000 for the American Red Cross. A special thanks to the founder of restaurant chain Raising Cane's and former UGA Lambda Chi, Todd Graves (Nu 1665), for donating the food for the event. Congratulations to the winners of Lambda Chi's first annual "Watermelon Bust", Kappa Delta sorority.
Lambda Chi Alpha presented the Red Cross with a check for over $2,000. The money raised helped four families get back on their feet after losing everything they owned in house fires. Jeff Taylor, the Red Cross's Executive Director of the East Georgia Chapter, was there on-hand at the fraternity house when the check was presented to the Red Cross. Mr. Taylor was also a Lambda Chi at the University of Richmond in Virginia.

On Wednesday, September 18th, 2013, Lambda Chi Alpha held it's annual "Starry Night Semi-Formal" in Athens, Georgia. The event was a great success with over 90 brothers and their dates attending.
Lambda Chi Alpha's 2014 Annual Winter Formal in Savannah, Georgia
Lambda Chi Alpha held its annual Winter Formal in Savannah, Georgia over February 14th-15th. The formal was a lot of fun and considered a great success. Over 90 brothers and their dates attended this year's formal, making it one of the more attended formals of the past coupe of years.
Lambda Chi Alpha's Annual Spring Parent's Weekend in Athens, Georgia
On March 22, Lambda Chi Alpha held its annual Spring Parent's Weekend in Athens. The entire weekend was considered a great success with over 165 people in attendance. A special thanks to the Mothers' Club for all of their help and contribution to help make this Parent's Weekend possible.
